January 29, 2010: Thai Kitchen Mushroom Rice Noodle Soup Bowl is no longer gluten free, according to the manufacturer.
December 11, 2009: Health Valley organic cream of chicken, cream of celery and cream of mushroom soups are no longer gluten free, according to the manufacturer who states that the products "may contain traces of gluten in the natural flavoring."
September 18, 2009: Shamrock Farms Butter PeCanyon Ice Cream is no longer gluten free, according to the manufacturer.
September 17, 2009: The following products have been removed from Campbell's list of gluten free Canadian products and the company says they can no longer be considered to be gluten free:
- Campbell's Red & White Condensed Soup - Bean with Bacon
- Campbell's Red & White Condensed Soup - Chicken Broth
- Campbell's Red & White Condensed Soup - Vegetable Broth with Onions

September 16, 2009: Giffords Swiss Chocolate ice cream is no longer gluten free because it contains malt.
May 15, 2009: Trader Joe's white bean and white and basil hummus are not gluten free. These hummus flavors have been removed from their list of gluten free products.
May 1, 2009: Update to March 10th alert for Dairyland Yogourts:
Canada's Food Inspection Division has investigated the possibility of barley gluten in some Dairyland/Saputo products and says the amount of barley gluten, if it was not eaten up in the culture would be in the parts per billion in the ingredients. Apparently the Dairyland/Saputo company was being cautious when releasing information and they did not understand the impact of just saying barley gluten without explaining it was a culture. According to Saputo, they are planning to use a culture which is produced without a barley substrate and hope to have this implemented by July.
April 1, 2009: The following Cruzan rums have been removed from the company's list of gluten free products because, according to the manufacturer, the flavorings may sometimes contain wheat or rye:

March 23, 2009: Campbell Soup recently updated its list of gluten free products and has removed all soups from its list. This means the Chunky Chicken Broccoli Cheese soup and Savory Lentil Select Soup listed in our SmartList are no longer gluten free in the USA.
March 21, 2009: Harvest Meats has removed the following products from its Canadian list of gluten free foods:
- Harvest Cottage Rolls
- Harvest Smoked Leg Ham
- Harvest Smoked Shankless Picnic Pork Shoulder
- Harvest Boneless and Rolled Ham
- Harvest Premium Ham
- Maple Birch Hams
March 16, 2009: Frito Lay has removed the following products from its Canadian list of gluten free foods:

- Munchies BBQ Sunflower Seeds
- Doritos Tandoori Sizzler! Flavoured Tortilla Chips

March 10, 2009: All Dairyland Yogourts have been taken off the list of gluten free products in Canada. The company says their yogourts may contain traces of barley.
March 4, 2009: Patak's Garlic Pickle and Soy Dream Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert - Mint Chocolate Chip flavor have been taken off the list of gluten free products in Canada. Subscribers to the Canadian food SmartList, please take note. In addition, Dr. Oetker has

February 27, 2009: The Side Caesar Salad with Dressing has been taken off the Swiss Chalet menu. It is no longer gluten free. This information applies only to the CANADIAN food SmartList.
January 28, 2009: According to GlaxoSmithKline, Tums Kids is NOT gluten free. It contains wheat. Tums Ultra and Extra sugar free are gluten free.
January 19, 2009: The following Canadian products are no longer on the manufacturer's list of gluten free foods. They contain wheat and have been removed from the Canadian food SmartList:
- Cheecha Krackles - triple cheese nacho
- Cheecha Krackles - sweet tomato ketchup
- Cheecha Krackles - sizzling mesquite BBQ
- Cheecha Krackles - sour cream and onion
December 22, 2008: The following Gardenburger products are no longer gluten free: Gardenburger Black Bean Chipotle Burger, Flame Grilled Burger and Veggie Breakfast Sausages. All three products now contain wheat.
December 17, 2008: After seeing a post on the celiac List which states that Campbell told the poster some of the Prego sauces were gluten free, I called Campbell back this morning. They now state that all sauces were originally taken off the list but that - as of last night - some sauces have been added back on. They were unable to tell me why. However, they state that the following sauces are gluten free:
In the Classic line:
- Fresh Mushroom Sauce
- Organic Mushroom Sauce
- Organic Tomato Basil Sauce
- Traditional Sauce
- Three Cheese Sauce
In the Heart Smart Sauce line:
- Heart Smart Onion & Garlic

December 16, 2008: According to Campbell, none of the Prego pasta sauces are gluten free anymore. They contain undeclared oats or barley in the spices.
November 26, 2008: Campbell has removed all Pace products from their list of gluten free products and said that the reason was "probably" because the formulation has changed.
November 5, 2008: The following items have been removed from the Hy-Vee Gluten free list. While these items do not contain gluten (wheat, oats, barley or rye) in the ingredients there are other products manufactured in the same plant with oats, oat flour and wheat. The supplier says they have procedures for cleaning their lines after allergen containing production runs; however there is still a chance of cross contamination.

November 1, 2008: Ghirardelli says that they no longer consider their squares and bar lines of chocolate to be gluten free because they manufacture a gluten containing product on the same lines. The lines are cleaned and the first two batches of chocolates are disposed of but there is possible cross contamination. However, their chocolate chip line, their hot chocolate line and their baking cocoas are gluten free. The white chips are not gluten free.
September 3, 2008: ALL Genisoy protein bars now contain gluten. The company recently changed production facilities and the new facility requires that wheat germ be included in all of their protein bars.
August 18, 2008: Met-Rx Super Cookie Crunch bar is no longer gluten free. According to the manufacturer the cookie now contains gluten.
August 13, 2008: Albers no longer considers its white or its yellow corn meal to be gluten free due to cross contamination from wheat products. This product will be listed as NOT gluten free in the next USA Food SmartList update.
July 31, 2008: Fisher Nuts has added pretzels to its Fisher Nuts Trail Style Mix. This product is NO LONGER GLUTEN FREE and will be updated in the next food SmartList release.
July 21, 2008: According to Pfizer, while there are no gluten containing ingredients in Rolaids (regular strength cherry, extra strength original or multi symptom berry flavor), they
do not test these products and can't rule out the possibility that gluten was introduced through cross contamination.
